The NHS Culinary program had the privilege of being invited to work with the Chef and the Farmer restaurant at the first annual Savor the Triangle event. The event, sponsored by 101.5 managed to raise over $10,000 for the interfaith food shuttle. The organizers of the event were thrilled with the participation of our students and expressed interest in bringing many more for next year's event.

What's even better is that our students were able to meet many of the best Chefs in the Triangle, from restaurants like Coquette, Piedmont, Vivace, Saint Jacques, The Counting House, and many more. At the end of the evening, one of our students, Dariel Hinojosa (Stache), was offered the opportunity to participate in a six month paid internship at The Chef and the Farmer, with housing provided. While he won't be able to fully explore this possibility until after he graduated next spring, it is an exciting affirmation of the culinary prowess displayed by our students.
